In short you won't get it in sync with Freeview etc as there is always lag when streaming over the internet.

What options can I do to make it more closer together within a few seconds of it being live

there is nothing you can do as Internet broadcasting is completely different from satellite

None, you can't speed up the lag

As I've commented in similar threads, only FM radio is (very nearly) 'live': all digital capture/processing/transmission/reception has an inevitable degree of lag behind real time.
There are some technical tricks which can reduce this but Sky does not seem to be using them, which is perhaps slightly odd given their effective monopoly of various sports coverage.

The best option for IP delivery in terms of delay is BT TV which uses 'multicast' and is relatively close to traditonal broadcast. Since switching to Sky for all but TNT Sports I've had to get in the habit of trying to remember to turn off notifications/avoiding social media at crucial points!

That used to be the case, but most FM broadcasts now have a delay on them to be in sync with DAB - and a handful of stations (especially at lower power sites) are fed from the DAB signal. IIRC the BBC broadcast the pips early so they are played out on time.
Interestingly the BBC have recently got their iPlayer delay down from 80 - 120 seconds to just 20 https://www.digitaltveurope.com/2023/08/14/bbc-enhances-speed-performance-on-iplayer/#:~:text=Prior%....

In Netherlands, when watching domestic football using an online box, the delay is 1 second. I wonder why England is delaying the broadcasts.

Your replying to an old thread. Sky have now implemented "live sync" (not a fan of the name) but is a low latency mode.

i subscribed to TNT sports to watch the rugby Autumn Internations. I have a Glass Tv and the lag was so bad it was almost unwatchable.
