Apple Music on CarPlay - Streaming issue with Sky Mobile

I have cancelled my Apple Music subscription and changed to Spotify. I have no issues with this app so clearly something to do with sky and Apple

Yeah, that's something we've said all along, yet Sky have tried to point the finger at Apple countless times now.....

it's a personal preference thing, but I just think that the Apple product (music streaming) is slightly better than Spotify....that is of course, WHEN I can get it to work, thanks to Sky Mobile...😩

I've had the exact same issues with my Apple Music with sky network. It's very frustrating. 

A few weeks ago when we got free data for the weekend from Sky (due to the network being down in the week) it was working completely fine for that period. 

I am the same as you iPhone 13 Pro Max, VW Golf. All other apps work with no problems at all. My Apple Music was perfectly fine in the car with my previous network o2.

I've chased again on this one and note that iOS 16.5 is out now, but the team have gone back to the device team and let them know it's still an issue. 

In order to keep investigating this, can I ask for some examples of where it happens and where you were travelling from and to please (if you know), so the team can try to plot the masts you went past?

Also are you using a VPN or have Apples Privacy relay on?

Hi @Clareridds , happened twice tonight 3G and 4G both times in Montrose, Scotland. Privacy relay is off and no VPN's or profiles installed (including Sky's, advised to remove by Apple. Made no difference)

Mine happens all over Cardiff, even with full bars and 5G.

Mine doesn't work unless I'm connected to Wi-Fi and that's all over London.

Mine would work in Westbourne, Bournemouth BH4 where I would have 5G signal, but then as soon as I would drive west for a few minutes the signal would drop to 4G and error message would come up and stop working. I have no VPN or private relay.

It's not sadly - still got similar issues...not quite as bad as it was, but still a long way from perfect....
