No 5g Ireland

Is 5g working in Ireland, I can only get LTE?

I was previously with Vodafone and had 5g with them on my current iPhone 14

Re: No 5g Ireland

Hi @EugenePigott,

If you have iphones you should check a couple of features are switched on within your phone, have included some suggestions below:

  • 5G & VoLTE - Go to settings, mobile service, Sims-primary, voice and data.make sure 5G auto is ticked, and toggle VoLTE on
  • Hotspot - Go to settings, mobile service, Sims-primary, mobile data network. Make sure mobile .sky is typed into "Mobile Data - APN" and at the bottom "Personal Hotspot APN" also type in mobile.sky
  • Wifi calling - settings, mobile service, Sims-primary. make sure Wifi calling is "on"

There are other features Sky have such as VV (Visual Voicemail) but the above are the most important to have on. Hope this helps

Re: No 5g Ireland

Same here. 3 of my coworkers have the same issue. All within 5g radius, had 5g on my phone before I switched. Not happy at all.

I was referred to Sky UK support and then to Sky Ireland support. I'm still awaiting an update from Sky Ireland
