Received a call yesterday stating that my SKY 4g sim card will no longer work in a couple of weeks as they are upgrading to 5g, and that i needed to give them my details so they can send out a new sim. When i questioned the guy he got all defensive, so i advised him he was trying to scam me and put phone down, if you arent expecting a call then its cold calling and more than likely a scam to take some og your hard earnt cash !!

Tbh they'd probably get more takers if they said 3g was being turned off as this is correct.

Just wanted to let you know I had the same call today from a rude guy with an Asian accent. He said my SKY 4G SIM card would stop working in a couple of days because they’re upgrading to 5G, and that I needed to give him my details so they could send a new SIM. When I questioned him, he got defensive, so I told him he was trying to scam me and hung up.
They also sent me an email that went straight to my spam folder. When I looked at it carefully, it seemed fraudulent as well.
If you’re not expecting a call like that, it’s cold calling and more than likely a scam to take some of your hard-earned cash!

Im being bombarded with these scam calls 40 % and SIM card they stick you out they are from Sky I keep reporting the numbers to 7726 but the next day I get another number same scams it's driving me nuts especially as I work nights and I'm usually woken up during the day I have to answer the calls because I've just lost my brother and I've been dealing with his affairs so I don't want to miss an important call ! How have these people got my phone number someone must be selling on my details . These scammers get no where with me as I'm wise to them but some poor innocent victim must be falling for it surely in this day and age and a big company like Sky there must be something they can do it's so annoying especially with my current circumstances!!!!!!!!

Just had the same call saying it was due to problems with the network, I got him to repeat what he was saying 4 times by saying it was a bad line, he was getting really wound up by the end. When I asked a 5th time he hung up 😂

I just had a similar call. As soon as she asked for my email address I hung up

I have had 3 calls today from 3 different numbers, all begin with 020. I ignored the first, I told the second I didn't want any extra products and when he said he was calling about my SIM being suspended I told him where to go and this afternoon I got the third one and decided to listen to it. Her speel was about my SIM being suspended but not to worry they are sending out a new one.
When she said it will take 5 to 10mins of my time I asked her why do I need to give them an email address etc if all they are doing is replacing my SIM, at which point she hung up on me.
I won't hold my breath for my new SIM arriving in the next few days in that case.
The phone is not my main one and if it rings I know it is not any of my contacts as only a few people know he number and have already been programmed in so I am always wary from the start.
