Set up for Draytek 2860/2865

If you set up as attached it should just work without any problems

Note if your on the Gigabit FTTP,  you really need the 2865

You must connect your ONT to the WAN port on the router

Click on WAN2 for this page

This one should already be setup assuming your coming from FTTC

Thats it - Ready to go

Just just need to set up your wireless etc now

And I forgot to mention you need to turn on hardware acceleration

Hi @No2ID , appreciate it's been a while since you made this post but I wondered if you would still be able to share your guide on this. I've just set up a Draytek 2865 router and have got it working, but more by guess work than design. Also not sure I've configured it optimally (Ping latency is now worse) so perhaps there are some settings I should tweak.

Thanks

@DesiMum

You should be able to get it to work, using my settings as above on this page

I'll try them. Thank you so much. Have a draytek 2866 and a ubiquiti mesh with a now tv SKY router. Wish me luck!

@DesiMum

Just a point, make sure you upgrade the firmware on your router to 4.4.2

Although there is nothing mentioned specifically in this firmware update, it increased my speed from 600 to 950

I was baffled for a while as to why I could not get more than 600, while everything was connecting at Gigabite speeds on the network.

It was only by chance I discovered this update and solved the problem
