I recieved an email from Sky last week informing me that my exisitng hub(an old one - about 8 yrs old) continues to keep me connected to the internet, but it no longer receives service and security updates. Sky are going to replace my existing hub for free with the Sky Hub 4.2.
They say it will be dispatched in the next few days, what I would like to know is how will they dispacth the hub and deliver it?. Will it be by Royal Mail or another courier? As nobody will be at home to recieve the deilvery.

It's probably a Q Hub (released in late 2015) : Sky is looking to replace all of these and all earlier models by the end of 2025 because they don't meet the new government regulations for internet routers: specifically they have fixed weak administrator credentials.

Does anyone know if the hub is easy to set up. I have broadband only and live alone. Am not tech savvy and as far as I can see my existing hub has one wire connected to the back of it and the other end in the wall socket. I'm assuming the set up of the new hub would be the same. Can anyone clarify pls?

I just installed mine an hour ago - very simple, just as you describe. For once the instructions in the box were clear and easy to follow. My only concern was that the instructions dais don't set it up before the activation date, which it said was on the box. There was no activation date anywhere on the box, but it worked anyway.

That is correct.
Aftersetting it up you will then need to have you devices search for you new wireless network name (the one that starts with SKY...) and use the password that came on the card to get them to them connect your Wifi.
