Hi,
I'm supposed to be paying £21p/m for WiFi, but yesterday a direct debit of £42.77 left my account. Why?
Best,
Patrick

Your first couple of Sky bills are both paid within the first month and are normally higher than you expected due to the date period they cover, so in effect you’ll be charged from the date you started your subscription up to the end of that billed month, and for the next month in advance as all Sky billing is for a month in advance. It could also include admin charges as new or newly renewed deals usually include a £10 admin fee (per discount) which will also increase your payment. Check your future bills to see if they match up to the amount you are expecting. This link will help explain

By the way, once you have gone through two billing cycles you can change your payment date to one that suits better if you want.
