New SKY Fibre 1Gb same speed as old Virgin Media cable broadband I replaced ~ 200Mbps average

Just got Sky Fibre into house for first time a few days ago (Wendesday) to replace an existing Virgin Media Business broadband connection over old copper wiring.

This image from speedtest.net of all the runs I have tried since turning on Sky Fibre 1Gb connection two days ago.

Bottom three results are from previous Virgin Media Business broadband I have been using for years.

As can be seen the Sky results are same/worse than the old phone cable based Virgin broadband.

Never get anything more than this.

I am getting this on fully Ethernet 1Gb Cat5e through all devices (not using WIFI on anything - WIFI off) - and I actully changed to use thick shielded Cat6 cable from the new Sky white box to the new Sky router to see if their was a problem with any cabling.

Nothing I do makes any difference.

Getting same speed results from a 1Gbps capable laptop directly plugged into Sky router using Cat5e cable.

Definitely something wrong on Sky side here - it's like the machines on other end are still limiting me to old Virgin speeds.

I have a few more days of cooling off before I give Virgin Media a change to provide better fibre package on this newly wired fibre connection...

Virgin won't offer service over an Openreach FTTP circuit: while they have some infrastructure (pole/duct) sharing agreements in place, the networks are still separate.

Edit: ah, spotted your user name.  It's different in the Republic.

Ok... but not sure what that has to do with SKY selling a 1Gb service which actually is a 200Mbps service - that's all I care about here. If I have to go back to Virgin just to make a point of not letting SKY away with this, I will.
