Home move

Moving home & currently have sky broadband. What do we need to do? 
If we move providers due to speed being better with somewhere else, is there a penalty? 

if we stay with sky, is it instantly moved over or do we have to wait for a new box to be installed / our old one to be installed? 

help page on sky on this matter doesn't load!
