New to sky stream

Is it possible to connect Sky stream to a BT wifi hotspot for a few days whilst I wait for my Sky broadband to be activated?

@Confused+JJ you can connect Sky Stream to most any broadband service you do not need Sky's broadband.

I have tried the WIFI using password option from the setup and selected the hotspot but it does not connect; I must be doing something wrong.  Message "We can't connect to your broadband router"

Hi @Confused+JJ

Do you mean one of those public BT-WiFi hotspots?

If you do then I'd say it won't work as the bandwidth is limited, and I believe the paid option only give a maximum of 10Mpbs

Thanks,

Tim

@Confused+JJ

The Stream / Glass won't be able to connect as the login process would redirect to a webpage to enter the BT WiFi username and password.

Thanks,

Tim

Re: New to sky stream

@Tim+Adams disappointing but makes sense; I will just have to be patient and wait for my router/broadband to be activated

Thank you for taking the time to reply
