Cannot cancel mvmnt app

Morning! I signed up to a free trial of the mvmnt app but it will not let me cancel. TV shows 'something went wrong; MYSKY_4306'. When I rang up to try and cancel it as the screen says to, I was told that there was no MVMNT subscription showing on the account. Despite this Sky are making repeated attempts to take £7.99. The person on the phone said that if the payment goes it can be refunded but I just want to cancel the app as I am not using it.

If you've.not cancelled it yet this is how. I was in your position.

Go to your products on your tv and then go to apps and then cancel MVMNT.

I'm angry that I didn't even have a free trial as the app crashed the day I tried!

Re: Cannot cancel mvmnt app

Thank you for your reply. It won't cancel on the TV, keeps coming up with an error code and message to ring them. I have rang them a few times and they said the same happened to them so it has been sent to the IT department and should be fixed within 48 hours 🙂

Re: Cannot cancel mvmnt app

I've encountered the same issue with the MYSKY_4306 error. The MVMNT website offers no clear information or option to cancel, which has been incredibly frustrating. I'm genuinely surprised at how difficult they are making this process.

I contacted Sky for assistance but was passed between several departments, and unfortunately, they were unable to cancel it due to an error on their end. However, the issue has been flagged, and they assured me it should be resolved within the next 48 hours.

Fingers crossed for a quick resolution!!

Re: Cannot cancel mvmnt app

I am having the same issue. Seems very suspect, . It clearly says it is easy to cancel when you sign up. But the manage subscription button doesn't work, meaning it is impossible to cancel. I think trading standards need to be made aware of this. I'm waiting on phone to Sky now. It will be my next call if they don't sort this immediately.

Go to your products on your tv and then go to apps and then cancel MVMNT.

Try that way... I can't fully remember but I think I cancelled it like this!

Good luck & I agree with trading standards!

Thanks for this - it's criminal how they get away with that and this is the only thing that helps

Re: Cannot cancel mvmnt app

Clearly they haven't fixed this problem as I'm unable to cancel mine now, error says: Something went wrong, please try again later. MYSKY_7997. they're a bunch of cowboys!

Did this ever get resolved. I'm having the same issue with the Hayu app and have been trying to get it sorted since November 2024!

Re: Cannot cancel mvmnt app

Hiya, it did but only because I moved my money from the account I had used for the free trial. It was separate to the sky bill. They made multiple attempts to collect it, and then they gave up after a few months and notified me they had cancelled it. I think at one point they told me I could pay it and have it refunded, but I didn't want to pay for something they were basically forcing me to have. I am not sure if others found a way to cancel. I would try going through their complaints procedure because they must be breaking some sort of consumer laws. I wish you the best of luck because I found them to be useless with this sort of thing.

Re: Cannot cancel mvmnt app

Yes I did, I went on to the apps and subscriptions part on the tv and cancelled it from there. It was a long time ago so sorry I can't give you further details. Hope you get it resolved soon!
