Puck powers up to black screen every morning
I don't know if this is new behaviour from an update or a sign my puck is dying. For several mornings now, it doesn't power on to the home screen. There's no video feed to the TV but the white LED is on. Nothing I try on the remote brings it up. I have to pull the power lead and then it starts normally. Every day this week so far.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Re: Puck powers up to black screen every morning
@AndrewWMcN Seeing as it has been working correctly I suspect this is not the cause but just in case double check that Networked Standby mode is toggled to ON and Overnight power saving is OFF in the Settings > Start up & Standby menu.
If this doesn't help post back and your post an be escalated to the Community Messaging Team for troubleshooting and if necessary a replacement puck.

Yes ... same problem with 2 pucks.
Frequent blank screens on start up requiring power reset, and numerous lip-sync issues.
500MB fibre, latest TP-Link mesh network, a lot of reliable smart home tech and technically very competent, but Sky pucks are the worst bit of tech I've bought. Unreliable in the extreme and not what I expected from Sky.

Re: Puck powers up to black screen every morning
Next time this happens and you get the white light and it's not powering on correctly, try the recovery procedure to the letter as in step 4 here;
This will do a number of things, apart from restart it in a safer mode and most probably will also check for any firmware/ software updates and do a cache cleanup that may be causing issues.
Sky Stream with two pucks (Former Sky Q and Sky+ customer), Sky Ultrafast + using Sky SR203 hub. Sky Protect kit tester.

Re: Puck powers up to black screen every morning
Email notifications not working. Didn't think anyone had replied.
Yes the network standby is on and the energy saving is off.
I will carry out the recovery procedure the next time it is stuck in standby. It's not happened this morning but it had happened yesterday and occurs every other day or sometimes two days in a row.

Re: Puck powers up to black screen every morning
Recovery procedure did not improve the situation. It has "booted to black" every day since, requiring a manual power disconnect reboot.
