What are you currently using for TV? Do you like it? What are the downsides with what you're using currently?

If you have slow internet, so close to the requirements I wouldn't advise going to Stream unless you can get faster internet.

It will be once Sky sort all the issues out. It's an upgrade from stream and really positive but unfortunately too many gremlins

By way of perspective @sadvam2010, I'll speculate that the majority of subscribers don't have issues with Stream, with the possible exception of the irritating lip/sync problem which Sky are working on and which appears to affect more,  but not all customers.

If you have Sky Q you can always give Stream a try and if it's not to your liking you can revert to Sky Q within your 31 days cooling off period (note you can't revert to Sky+ if that's what you currently have, you'd have to revert to Sky Q).

As mentioned above, with your slow broadband, would not recommend moving to Sky Stream.

Sky recommended a minimum broadband speed of 25Mbps. Or 30Mbps if you add an extra Sky Stream puck or to watch in UHD

Using the live sync option on Sky Sports streams also adds another few Mbps.

So in your case, you would not have much local network available if you were using other devices on your broadband in your household. A local good broadband network stability is key to having a reliable Sky Stream.

Have you looked to see if you can get a faster broadband connection by upgrading to fibre?

Your best bet if you cannot improve your broadband speed may be to move to Sky Q from your Sky +

Re: contract up soon,is sky stream worth it

I switched from Q to Stream when I moved home. No real complaints - love the personal play lists, and not had any issues with playback as we have fast wifi through virgin. The odd reboot every now and then - which is annoying but not a deal breaker. And no dish on side of the house or cables running through just a tiny stream box sits near the TV. So for the price its decent.
