Sky Glass and Xbox Series X with HDR10 Cutting Out

Hoping someone in here can help me solve this issue as its driving me up the wall.

i use my Glass to game, Xbox Series X is plugged in and have it set up with HDR10 enabled.

When launching into a game that supports HDR10, the jump from dashboard to in game is replaced with a black screen, followed by the blue Sky screen saying “no signal input, switch to another HDMI” before finally it cuts back in and i can get on with gaming. Same happens in reverse if i try to jump out of a game back to my home screen.

The issue must be to do with HDR10 as when i turn that feature off on the Xbox, the problem goes away. Unfortunately, i can see a massive difference in the colours and brightness and so keeping HDR10 on is a must for me.

Has anyone else found this issue and does anyone know of a solution that doesnt involve simply turning HDR10 off?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

A theory, not as personally experienced. Plausible speed connection of your hdmi cable? Option could be to update to a faster serving hdmi of a higher quality?

Thanks for the suggestion, looking online. It seems the HDMI cable i am using is already high speed and supposed to do the job just fine.. however I have speculated on your suggestion and the top recommended cable from Amazon is on route. Will let you know if it solves the issue!

I have the same issue. Although it disappears on my old glass. I have it replaced and it's back.  The software is up to date and the settings are the same.   Weired

Re: Sky Glass and Xbox Series X with HDR10 Cutting Out

Hey, still no solution found. Weirdly though on the rare occasion, it wont do it and will just work as normal and as you would expect. I suspect its due to the fact that Glass and/or Xbox doesnt run in HDR at all times, the menus etc are most likely 1080p so it has to switch every single time.

Mine does it constantly when jumping from games to menus in fc24.  It's doing my head in!

Re: Sky Glass and Xbox Series X with HDR10 Cutting Out

@MangoMan27 I think that the Xbox is asking the Sky Glass TV to do things faster than it's capable of and is therefore falling over. Glass is basically a budget TV with a Sky Stream interface based on comments on here, doesn't really be suitable for Next Gen Games consoles.

Re: Sky Glass and Xbox Series X with HDR10 Cutting Out

I've had an issue trying to watch 4K movies on disk with the series x on my sky glass. Same issue with HDR on it's all in green but as soon as I turn hdr off it works. Any solution sky. Works fine on my other 4K tv so seems to be the problem with the glass
