My 82 year old father lost his wife in June and now has lost his home after storms in October caused by major flooding in Derbyshire. He can not live in the house for at least the next 6 months, however he is still paying £75.05 per month for a sky package and broadband. After a very frustrating call with a sky advisor we were advised that the only thing they could do was put my Dad in an 18 month contract with broadband, as this had expired and reduce the bill by £4.50.
Please can you tell me if there is a better solution for this situation.
Thank you.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThere is no much as other customers we can suggest other than to say that if he is not currently in a contract for his TV and broadband package then he would be free to cancel by giving 31 days notice for the TV and 14 days for the broadband.

I'd simply cancel (if out of contract).
