Hello, does anyone know how I can log into my own family Netflix without me being billed through my sky tv.
I logged in on my family Netflix and then it changed our plan to one screen at a time and didn't even get the bill payers consent to do this.
how can we use the Netflix we pay for separately on this tv?

If you have a Glass TV then basically you can only use the Netflix account setup as part of the Sky Entertainment subscription.
If you have a regular smart TV and use a Stream puck then you can use the Netflix app on the TV (not the Stream puck) to access your account.

Logging into the Netflix app on Glass or Stream is deemed to be an instruction to change the billing.
If you have an existing Netflix account you pay Netflix direct for:

Thanks for the reply.
I have a sky glass. So basically it's a bit scam my really they're making you create a new account with them even though you and your family memebers already have a seperate one.
They never tell you this when you buy it.

Well no, it's not a scam, it's a way of getting Netflix cheaper.
Sky takes over the billing of any existing Netflix account you have and you pay less for it. I was paying Netflix £15.99pm for Netflix Premium then switched the billing to Sky and it now costs me £8pm. I don't use the Netflix app on my Stream puck at all, I login to the app on my Apple TV 4K box, my smart TV, my phone and my tablet.

Well not all of us want it moved to our sky bill, especially when it's shared with family. We should at least get the option not to do this when we already have an active Netflix account that we pay direct to Netflix.

Not really: the Sky subscription for Glass includes Netflix Basic in the monthly cost, so permitting an existing Netflix account to be used without moving the billing over would waste that portion of the payment.

The bundled Netflix Basic can be moved to Standard or Premium by adding to the Sky subscription, and should still be somewhat cheaper than paying Netflix directly.
The one significant downside is that the new Netflix 'Extra Members' feature is not available when billing moves to Sky (or any other Netflix partner offering such bundles)

As @TimmyBGood states - if your family account is a premium account just add the £8pm to your Sky account and everything will carry on as it was. You'll get the same service for half the cost of paying Netflix direct.

Apart from 'Extra Members' though, which is potentially relevant as the new university term starts up.
In our case the money saved in billing though Sky is more than wiped out by the cost of a standalone subscription for the youth (I told him that he should be in the library, which didn't go down well ; )

I understand that part - however it is something I cannot afford to add onto my sky glass bill, whereas my father pays for the Netflix for all of us kids to use. So we would prefer to keep it in my fathers name.

That's a use model which Netflix is actively trying to reduce (unless all users are living at the same address) and so it's perhaps not surprising that the bundled offering does not support it.

So my son has taken his account with him and I can't watch it at home anymore. Do I need to set up my own netflix account which will take a charge from my debit card to set up? How does it work if its already included in my package?

@ClaireMJ669 Whichever Netflix account you first used to log-in as on your Sky Glass would be the account that is linked to your Sky account, and thus be the Netflix account where Netflix would no longer be charging you. If this was yours sons account then his account it the one that is essentially "free".
you have 2 options, 1) your son contacts Netflix and asks for his account to be unlinked from your Sky account. This would then allow you to create a new Netflix account, log in on your Sky glass and then it would be linked.
2) you create a new Netflix account for yourself, you pay Netflix for it and you then use this account to log in to your Sky glass Netflix app

If your son logged into Netflix on your Glass TV with his existing username and password then it will have switched the billing for his account to your Sky account. You will need to contact Netflix to get it removed (and revert billing to your son) so you can then setup a new Netflix account via Sky which you will not be charged for as it is part of the basic Sky Entertainment package.
