The issue is that TV should auto change from it's default 50hz to 60hz once you get in a game, even the Xbox dashboard is only 50hz , but even though it can do 60hz it stays at 50hz. I'm not sure why but a cold reset of the TV (plug off) means that when you turn your TV on, the glass menu is 60hz, then you go direct to a game it stays at 60hz until you open a 50hz screen, like leaving the game to go to the Xbox dashboard , or quickly putting a TV channel on, then any game will go to 50hz & you'll see judder.
I've no idea what glass plays YouTube at tbh, could be 60hz meaning going straight from youtube, to the glass menu, to Xbox would possibly stay at 60hz but the Xbox dashboard is still 50hz & would trigger then50hz lock in.
Id check low latency is still on your hdmi, & your Xbox, & you're not in hdmi port 3. No reason any of that would change without you knowing but you never know, there was a recent update which may have turned something off.
How are driving games with allm off? I know first person shooters are horrific, thing is it used to be fine until they added allm, now it's unplayable 😞
American TV's are 60hz by default, European is 50hz, shame really.

You should always have Dolby vision on, it's just better than not, at least on glass & don't TVs. My sound seems better using stereo & turning Dolby sound off though.

With YouTube and any other video content for that matter, it's unlikely you'll have any issues. The reason being is that the content being displayed isn't reliant on ALLM or any input latency reduction, as you're not providing any input (e.g. controller input). The only latency issues you'll experience with video content would be video/audio latency where the audio is out of sync compared to the video for example.
All the tele needs to do is respond to whatever video mode the input source is asking and it'll work without issue.
Would be ideal if there was a public changelog for any updates that come out, to know exactly what's been included in the updates, but also future releases detailing what and when the next updates are coming, with a breakdown of fixes and new features. This especially, is a basic ask of the dev team.

So without any unplugging tricks or anything like you all suggest I have just turned on the tv with my remote like normal. Switched on my Xbox and loaded fortnite because I also notice the judder on there when moving in circles you notice it really bad and I'm still no longer having the issue. I then pressed the home button, played bbc one for a short while and then went back on the xbox, still no issue. Are we sure something has not changed? The problem we have with these glass tvs is we cannot even see what hz it's currently running in. All other brands if you press the info button it will tell you in one of the corners

Are you absolutely sure low latency is turned on in the Xbox settings & on your hdmi settings in your glass connected devices tab?
Check your Xbox device info & see when your last Xbox update was.
I test on destiny on the character screen & it's absolutely still there.

I have added images of my settings and a video of it not doing the stutters.
This is 3 days in a row now of it not doing the problem and I'm not unplugging or anything just using as normal.
What I do no though is it was doing it last Friday as a friend came round for drinks and we was on the racing sim games and even he noticed the stutters. I mean I'm not complaining if it works but want to make sure it does for everyone else with the problem

Can't see the settings thing, it's just a triangle, & the video is processing, I'll watch when it's done.
The only settings that matter (I think) are low latency mode in your Xbox settings (where the Dolby vision stuff is) & in your glass under connected devices, hdmi settings, allm on.
I assume you've not changed your hdmi port or cable either? I doubt you have but gotta ask. Hdmi port 3 doesn't support allm, not does hdmi 2.0 cables

Yeah I'm not doubting you here, just had a few people saying it was fixed for them & then it turns out allm was turned off or something they didn't notice. It doesn't make sense that yours works fine & no one elses does.
20 Dec 2024 09:44 AM
Yeah it says my end the images and video are processing.
Yes xbox in hdmi 1 all the allm mode stuff is enabled on both xbox and tv.
I am currently finding it hard to reproduce the problem.
Something else new, when I'm changing content I am getting a black screen for a second or 2 almost like it's changing frame rate to match which I don't think the tv did before.
Very strange this is
