Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Fate tempted and it bit. Its been solid for 2 weeks and at midnight just went to orange voice light and Internet lost. But.. it recovered itself about 5-10 mins later and voice back to green. Sky up to something? Its got to be sky related as nothing has changed here....It would nice if you knew they were patching or updating stuff....

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Still not aware of mine going off since replacement but I'm obviously not monitoring 24 hours a day.

I changed the SSID and password on my new router to match the old one to save updating loads of devices.

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Agreed - I've noticed a couple of moments in about 2-3 weeks. But it did recover on it's own in one of those so may have happened more. It has definately got much better though than the every other day it was doing it.

Still think it's sky and openreach tinkering with settings as the service is rolled out wider 🙂

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

It's happening again tonight. Broadband went down at 9. I ran the Sky broadband tests which ultimately say everything is fixed, it wasn't. Unplugged the power from the hub and everything worked for 20 minutes. Then the same problem again so I reset. Now it has gone for the third time.
I contacted Sky last week and they said they couldn't do anything about the issue unless I ran the broadband test while the issue was happening and contacted them at the same time. Obviously can't do that while they aren't at work.
Someone needs to do something about this, it's poor that they haven't resolved it yet and are fobbing people off.

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Yep, same for me.  Went off at 950.  Left it for 30 mins, didnt resolve itself.  Just restarted and everything back up.  Again Alexas were connected, as were the smart plugs.  Everything else "connected, no internet"

Calling Sky tomorrow.

This is getting beyond a joke now.

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

It's happened a few more times - less recent. Noticed now though that when the voice light goes amber, internet blips and then reconnects. Voice light sorts itself out after 5-10 minutes.

Please tell us what you're up to Sky - this isn't random, it's things being tweaked I'm sure.

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Still not 100% fixed. Went again tonight about 10pm.

Orange voice light. I was on the PC playing fifa on line - all kept working. Other devices stopped. Green internet light throughout. After 3-4 minutes, orange light still on for voice and connections popped back.

This is impacting different protocols and the router DOES resolve after a few minutes now so either Sky know what is going on and they're sending updates/tweaking or they're at a loss as to explain...some form of acknowledgement either way would be good.

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Just happened  to me again. I'll report it again, if I can be bothered. Nothing will get done about it.

I've just renewed with Sky. I wish I'd gone back to BT.

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Hey All

I have had this issue intermittently for the last 5 years.... The internet works perfectly fine on any device that isn't considered a Mobile device (Including the Amazon FireStick) No phone will connect to it and no real reason why it happens. Thats what I was told by an engineer and his advice was to find all wifi devices and turn off the wifi on them all (Phones, tablets, FireStick...etc).... then just connect a single device.... that info was wrong!.... because my devices apart from mobile phones all connected fine.

Sky is a nightmare but aren't all providers?.... its tedious but not much else we can do apart from "Reboot" for the 100th time.

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Is this still happening to you?

I've been experiencing the same thing for the last 2 days (have had sky broadband for years without issue)

I'm also in the north west coincidently 🤔

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

Happened a couple of weeks ago. I update the dBmns servers on my pc and all worked again whilst the voice was still orange. Coincidence? Hard to tell but still monitoring....

Re: Voice light goes amber frequently.

All the lights on my router are currently green yet can't stream anything. The talk light goes orange again intermittently but back to green within a few seconds but still can stream/catch-up etc
