Broadband / MS Teams issues

Moved to Sky BB from EE few weeks back and have been struggling with MS Teams ever since.  Messages are either delayed, or send in the wrong order and images pasted into the chat rarely send.  Everything else other than the Sky router/ISP remain the same.  Have also isolated the issue to the network given I can use Teams reliably from my phone/hotspot.  Have spoken to Sky and they tried to convince me it was the laptop, nope.  They are sending an engineer and plan to fit a bunch of the Max Pods to improve the WiFi signal.  I am unconvinced.  Anyone else seen something similar / have any idea before I start battling to leave and go back to EE.

Re: Broadband / MS Teams issues

Turns out it was the advanced security session which needed to be changed back to "WPA2".

Re: Broadband / MS Teams issues

We're these setting in the BB router or laptop being used for Teams. I've had no problems with BT but since moving to Sky my MS teams calls lose connection but then I get reconnected after a short while, really frustrating and sky telling me no issues and it's my works laptop.

Re: Broadband / MS Teams issues

I have the exact same issue. Recently switched from EE. On Teams calls the connection drops out and everything freezes, I can see the WiFi signal collapse. After a short while it all comes back. Happens during every call. Not sure how to solve this.

@Whisperingmonk assuming you did not have BT wifi extenders it sounds like the Sky hub is not providing the same signal coverage as you got with the BT hub you had before. If the new hub is in thecsame location I would raise this with Sky to see what thrybwill offer as normally extender podsxare only available as part of an add-on package WiFi Max see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

Re: Broadband / MS Teams issues

Yep, I plan to. Didn't have WiFi extenders before and that was with EE 100. Now upgraded to Sky 150 and seems to be worse. Also happens when I turn the tv on. It pops up with the message troubleshoot WiFi connection. Strange.

Re: Broadband / MS Teams issues

Can i ask how this is done? Just moved to sky broadband and my MS Teams connection is shocking compared to previously and it was a huge upgrade we did moving to sky. I also have a Wifi extender in place due to being in a townhouse and my office is on the top floor

Re: Broadband / MS Teams issues

Couldn't be resolved so I quit sky and moved back to EE. Upgraded to 500mbps and have absolutely no issues again. It is sky! No way around it and I got fed up.

Re: Broadband / MS Teams issues

Oh, weve got the full fibre 500 aswell so it should be a good connection. Thank you though- its just MS teams which is the issue but i work from home so not ideal.
