Evening all.
I've been having issues with wireless connectivity with my Sky Q Modem.
I've decided to replace the Q modem with a TP Link AC2100... this is where my problems started.
I've followed the instructions and replaced the Sky Q modem. But unfortunately I'm not getting an interest connection to the new modem. When setting up the box through the 192.168.1.1 etc I've tried Sky and also Sky(mer).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

Are you able to connect directly to the device via an ethernet cable?

Just clarify once I've selected Sky (MER) the next page does not have an option for me to input the username: abcdefgh@skydsl etc.

Is it the VR2100 AC2100 device?

Thank you for the quick reply.
I'm trying to set up the modem with my phone through wifi via the 192.168.1.1 etc. I manage to log in to the settings and complete the set up. But there is no option to input the username and password as above.
Yes, I'm using the Archer VR2100 Ac 2100.
Thank you
Chris

Hi I am trying to do this using an Ethernet connect to my laptop but it still doesn't work for me. I followed all the steps you have mentioned except I have a filtered socket so I don't need to use micro filter provided.
any suggestions?

Also not sure if it is relevant but I don't see the dsl indicator light on the router. It only ever lights up when the router is switched on and then goes away

For tp link on fttp this should work
Tp link AX is on latest firmware
IPV6 on (advanced menu option)
Dynamic IP (SLAAC/DHCPv6)
advanced settings: DHCPv6
prefix delegation enabled
DNS address: get dynamically from ISP
IPv6 LAN
SLAAC + stateless DHCP
MAC Clone: Use Default Mac address

Oh my! just returned my tp link router today as the wifi speed were really terrible, on the access point configuration. I tried switching off the wifi on the skyhub and just connected the wan port from tp to sky hub. Anyway I have returned it to get the modem router 2800vr, would it be the same steps for a router with modem too?

For tp vr dsl modem routers :-
1. Connect the network cable from the FTTP wall box to port 4 (labelled LAN/WAN)
2. Login to the router and click advanced at the top.
3. Click Operating Mode and change to "Wireless Router Mode" press "Save"
4. Once ready, while on the "Advanced" setting again, go to "Network" -> "Internet"
5. You will see an empty table, click "Add" in the top right above said table
6. Change Internet Connection Type to "Dynamic IP"
7. Ensure IPv4 remains ticked.
8. Tick IPv6 (wont be selected at the moment)
9. Do not clone mac
10. Press Save
11. Wait, it can take a minute or two but should eventually show connected.
12. Enjoy a better wireless experience

Thank for replying, just out of curiosity should I be connecting to the ont directly when performing this steps or should I still be on access point mode.
Thank you.
