So to split the two channels you need to go to your router config page which can be found by typing 192.168.0.1 into your web browser. To access the page, you'll need;
username: admin
password: sky OR your WiFi password
- Select wireless from the navigation bar and scroll down a little and untick the 'Synchronise 2.4GHz and 5GHz settings'
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and hit apply.
- Once the page reloads you need to go to the 5GHz wireless settings page on the sub navigation bar below where you click wireless before
- In the 5GHz section you want to go to the box called 'Name (SSID)' and add something like 5g to the end of the current name
- Scroll down and hit apply
- Then on any wireless device you should now see two networks. One network will be the same name as usual and will be 2.4GHz band and the other will be the usual name with 5G on the end (Or whatever you typed). Connect any 5GHz capable device to the 5GHz network and see if it works correctly. The WiFi password should be the same if you havent changed it.

Thanks that worked perfectly!

Thanks for those instructions.
I've managed to log into the router and clicked on the wireless tab, but it doesn't give me the option to untick 'Synchronise 2.4GHz and 5GHz settings'...
I've attached screen shots... Am I on the wrong page?
Thank you 😊

If you have a Sky Hub rather than a Q Hub or a Sky Broadband Hub, it's 2.4GHz only do there's no such option.

Hi I followed the instructions carefully on the previous posts re splitting the 2.4 and 5 on our Sky SR203 router so I can connect our new 2.4 cctv camera to the network but for some reason it didn't work. I tried to log back in to 192.168.0.1 but now it says
Login Failed - another administrator is already logged in

Have just tried again but every time after adding 5g to the end of the ssid name and clicking apply it just says 'safari cannot open the page because the network connection was lost. I have also tried renaming the 2.4g instead but it does the same thing? Any help would be much appreciated

I've done this but every time I click apply it takes me to a page can not be displayed page. Tried so many times now, any other ideas? A sky advisor did it to me for the first time but I've reset my router and it won't work following steps now.

Find out more@Kat321s this usally happens if you are using a device using wifi as when the change is applied your device loses its connection as you have renamed the connection it was using.. On your device go to its network settings and connect to the new network name.
When changing any router settings it is far easier using a device connected by ethernet as thst will rdmain connected.

Hi
I have followed the instructions but like someone else as soon as I hit "Apply" its says Safari cannot open the page.
I used to have all my lights and plugs set up on Sonoff devices and now none of my lights work since getting the Sky Broadband. Is it simply there is an issue with the Sky Hub?
Please can someone help, I need lights in my house.

Seems to be an issue with some mobiles/browers. If you can try using a different device & browser. The best way if possible is to use a device connected via ethernet

I've wired my connection and attempted the steps as described but every time I click apply I lose the connection and the changes haven't been applied.
