Same issue for me.  Installed, removed/re-installed. Open the app and it crashes, no errors or warnings.

Hi @MR+l+fewings @Christopholous,

would you be able to fill in the Survey: Sky Go crashing on start-up (Windows) please?

Thanks

Same issue (Windows 11). It was working yesterday, not so today.

I have followed the usual advice of deleting the app & associated folders in the 'roaming' folder, clearing Recycle bin & rebooting pc, followed by a fresh install of the exe file. No success. I've filled out the survey :).

@MR+l+fewings

I used Revo Uninstaller free to fully remove Sky Go & then installed the latest version. This worked. The tool will run the default uninstaller then you should scan for leftover files/folders & clean/delete what it finds.

Thanks @Christopholous. Revo uninstaller is a good little program. I use it all the time.

Re: having problems with sky go on windows 11

I have been having the same problems with Skygo on Windows 11.  Tried the Revo Uninstaller and followed the instructions on it for deleting the roaming files etc but still not going on to Skygo.  It looks like it is going to load, checks for updates then closes up.

Any other suggestions as I really miss my Skygo.

I was one of those that had a couple of Windows 11 devices that had this crash.
Have been using the trial builds, the previous couple i had the crashing problem along with the public build. But since the latest trial build dropped it has sorted the problem for me on Windows 11.
It runs smoothly with no crashes.

Would expect the public build to contain the fix at some point soon.
But it is worth signing up for the trial build as mentioned on post worth 49 of this thread;

Re: having problems with sky go on windows 11

Thank you .. been battling with this for weeks.

With a clean install of W10, Sky Go worked fine, but after Windows 11 (incl Insider updates), it would always break Sky Go and no number of manual uninstalls and reinstalls made a difference.

Tonight found your Revo suggestion and installed the Beta Sky Go .. I am back in the game again 😉

Great to hear @DCIV

I can confirm that after removing with Revo Sky Go does work on Win 11 here.
