i cant get sky go to work on my laptop

I have a sky account and have downloaded sky go onto my laptop so i can watch if im working away but when i try to watch any tv programs I constantly get the message "sky go is currently unavalable. please try again later (code 1404)"

I have signed out and back in , no luck!

Removed the app and re-installed, no luck 

trauled through the postes and try all the recomendations, no luck

am i missing something like i have to enable the device on my account?

feel like ive waisted hours going round in circles for something that should just work!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Do you have a TV subscription from Sky ?

If so make sure you are logged in with the correct ID/email

Something else to try is to go to skyid.sky.com/signin/skycomlinked and enter details when it asks for your postcode. Account info will then be activated so try Sky Go again.

I have tried logging on through the link you provided all ok but it would seem that the sky web site is having a seniour moment and keeps saying unavailable please try again later when i try to look up Bills or my details.

I will try again tomorrow!
