TOO long to wait on phone to speak to somebody

Have been promised a new hub but it has not arrived yet. ANY suggestions how to chase it without sitting in a phone queue for half an hour?

What does it say in your orders section on your my sky app?

What is the reason for the new hub. New customer, replacement of faulty hub or an upgrade to your broadband package?

And what hub do you have at the minute?

I have been with SKY since 2000 and got independent advice about my poor speed and reliability. HAVE complained MANY times about this over the years and when i confronted them with this info they immediatly agreed to send me a new one. The current old one handles less than 1gb, new ones, apparently between 300 to 600gb!!  VERY, VERY disappointed how sky have been fobbing me off

GB is a unit of size (gigabyte)

Broadband and wireless speed is measured in Mbs (megabits per second)

"less than 1gb" to  "300 to 600gb" has no meaning in this context.

There are four Sky Hub models currently in support: the oldest SR102 is essentially obsolete, but can still handle up to the 80Mbs maximum that FTTC can carry.

The ER110/115 Q Hub is in use by millions of FTTC Sky Broadband subscribers, while the SR203/204 is the model supplied to FTTP and G.fast users.  The brand new Max Hub is the latest model.

WiFi speed is different to broadband speed: the 102 uses an outdated wireless standard (802.11n) while the Max Hub is faster than most client devices (802.11ax).  The Q and Broadband Hub models are mainstream 802.11ac

Other router models supplied in the past by Sky, including the white SR101 Hub and any Netgear/O2/BE branded unit should not be in use as they are no longer receiving software updates.
