So I take out fibre with sky after our Welsh town finally has it all rolled out.
I get a great deal then find sky have somehow messed something up, I rang today and got a very helpful chap up in Scotland who after the mess up sorted it all for us.
Then reveals the price increase is coming of £3 a month which he cannot do anything about.
So now sky have got an extra £4 in mobile costs from us and now £3 for broadband.
These increases are getting silly now, how can broadband go up an extra £3 a month🤷🏼♂️
I understand things are going up everywhere but the digital age is getting silly now.
So watch out for you price increase letters coming out this next month he has informed us.

Yeh I understand that.
Just pointing out it's a £3 one this year. Seems a tad high to me.

The regulator is investigating but have been slow to react imho...

My sky package will increase by 14.5% overall in April
Sky Tv +10.5%
Sky HD +18.2%
Broadband +14.5%
That is huge. Can't wait for my contract ending.

Seems very high. Are you by any chance on a legacy viewing tv package rather than the current Signature package?

I believe you don't have to wait for broadband - you have 30 days to move to another provider that will want to lock in an RPI+x% increase... 😂

Given that domestic broadband averages c£30 a month and inflation is (crudely) running at 10%, an increase of around £3 would seem sadly logical.
It's interesting that all the ISPs are pointing to Openreach/BT Wholesale pricing as being a significant factor in their own costs increasing.
