Address already linked to an old account, so can't place order.
I am trying to place an order for Sky stream, but can't as my address is already associated with an old account. The account is mine and I left Sky 4 or 5 years ago, but this seems to be stopping me placing an order, even with a new account (and email address), as as soon as I get to entering the address, it says there is already an account linked and asks for the first 2 digits of the bank account number. I enter these, but it says there is an error and I need to speak to Sky support.
I have spent 3 hrs over the past 2 days trying to get this sorted, but support don't seem to be able to. They keep passing me from dept to dept and nobody seems able to help.
I'm about to give up on Sky and go to EE.

Hi 👋
you will need to get call sky directly & they will get this sorted for you.
it's more than likely due to data protection and existing account being registered.
rest assured they will sort your account out
