Setting up Decco wifi extender

Hi, I'm trying to set up a wifi extender - Decco M4. It's asking about the internet connection type. I thought it wa PppOE but asking for username & password & to be honest I'm not even sure if it is that or Dynamic or something else. Does anyone know how I find out this information?

thanks,

eleanor

@Eleanor1305

Use obtain an address dynamic DHCP. And set it up as an access point (bridge).

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Eleanor1305 the simplest set up for a Deco set up is to connect the first unit to an ethernet socket on your Sky hub and folow the instructions here https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/1842/ which sets the units to act as access points leaving your Sky hub as the router. I have been using such a set up,myself for the last year or so. It is sensible to turn off the wifi on the Sky hub if using a Deco set up with multiple units.
