BBC box sets on iplayer and catch up not autodowning next episode

Until early Nov any programmes watched on both  BBC catch up and iplayer box sets would autodownload the next episode within 5 minutes of starting to watch an episode. My sky hd box has stopped doing this but it only affects the BBC services ( Sky box sets/Ch5/All4 etc are all continuing to autodownload). I have tried the ususal suggestions of a planner rebuild and rebooting the box without success but I don't think it is a fault with the box with most of the channels working OK.

Does anyon know has the BBC changed their arrangements for the their download services with Sky (although I havent been able to find any news of this) . Has anyone else had this problem and been able to solve it?

Many thanks

@lesley2957 Yes, it's been reported on here a few times, so whatever the issue is, it's either at Sky's end or the BBC'S

This problem still persists and has been a problem for over a year. It is Sky's responsibility to ensure their EPG software works properly including the download series option. It is clearly SKY who are not prepared to sort the issue and expect us to work around and download each episode ourselves. Makes you wonder why Sky feel they can charge what they like and even have the cheek to increase our prices AGAIN????

I have, more than once!

What's really odd is that (with Peaky Blinders and Killing Eve to name two) when you watch the last episode of a series, it does download the first episode of the next series. But within each series, nothing.

@oj01 I was really addressing Ray with my suggestion as I though you might have already tried 🙂

Edit: I've edited my other post to make it clearer 🙂
