I will as i am unable to send a 'temp' number to the customers/reps/sites/enginers etc i have to deal with daily just to use for a few days, i have a number they need to be able to contact me on.
My number ported over is working only on WIFI, and despite showing on imessages as the correct number they are not coming through and neither are whatsapps.
How do i speak to a customer service agent at Sky do you know as the virtual ssistant is useless and will not give me any way to conatct someone?

Ported two sims from EE to Sky three days ago, my wife's phone all working ok with number retained, my phone all working but has a new number (yes I tried to change the number in phone settings iPhone X)
called Sky ' seems a problem with PAC it's not working. Called EE oh we may need an investigation as we supplied the PAC correctly.
NOW WHAT, unable to use my personal apps as two step verification goes to the number not brought over.
Sky do not seem to care, tried three times and the result. Email-here is your new mobile phone bill 😞

I am having this problem, but with a Samsung S23.
I ported my number across from a different network and when I make calls, my number appears correctly on their devices and when people call me, it works correctly. The problem is with text messaging. People send me a message to the correct number and it reaches me. When I reply to them, the message comes from a totally different number! They can reply to my message from a totally different number and it also reaches me! I am pretty stumped.
Is it something to do with my messages app. I notice that my S23 (I've only had it for a month or so) has 2 different apps, one called 'Messages' and another called 'Messaging'
Please, can anybody help my fried brain?

iPhone old number doesn't show in Settings and temporary number dominates, so this may help
Switch off all other Apple devices and on the phone switch off iMessage and Facetime and leave off for 15 minutes. Also disable bluetooth, including on your iWatch. Where the temporary number shows delete it completely. Switch off the iPhone and leave off for at least 5 minutes. Switch back on and enter your old number in Settings.
Switch bluetooth, iMessage and Facetime back on and your old number should now take precendence.
Tried various things over two days and this eventually worked. Why can't Sky provide this sort of information??
Hope it helps.

Since my number ported to sky on Friday I have not been able to make calls. Not very reassuring to see this thread that goes back 3 years and it's still an issue for people. I travel solo a lot and have a mother with dementia, I need to be able to make calls. No seems to be able to help me

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou are not doing anything wrong as it can sometimes take a number of times before it will save.
You could call Sky on 150 to ask them to send you a replacement sim as that should fix this issue for you.

I've just moved to sky mobile and have an iPhone. My old phone was an android on EE. I requested to port my number from my android phone to my iPhone with sky. I've had a text on my old phone to say my new sky number is my old phone number (great!) But my new iPhone is still showing the phone number that came with the sim, and my old phone is still working with my old number! I've tried updating the phone number in the settings on my iPhone, but it won't save. Can anyone help?!
