An odd call…

Just had a call from an international looking number telling me that my broad band would be unavailable this evening for a couple of hours due to 6G security upgrade. Sounded like a scam. South Asian guy, call centre back ground noise. But the interesting part is that he asked me nothing at all. So not sure what the point of the call was if it's a scam. Anyone else had this?

@Scott+UK.  I'm going to say it was a scam call as 6G isn't a thing and even if it were it wouldn't affect a fixed line broadband service.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Scott+UK.

As @GD1 indicates, '6G' isn't a thing yet.

Always possible they are prepping you for a further scam approach, perhaps during the mentioned time period.
