Slow and intermittent wifi

My WiFi today has been running much slower than usual. I've been working from home and this has interupted calls. When trying to stream Netflix it is buffering a lot too

This has been happening to us for so long now, going to cancel with SKY very soon.

I'm also having this issue, wifi calls drop-out,  works teams calls drop out, sky glass buffers. Every time I speed test it shows no issue because its intermittent. I've tried countless times to speak to someone but only get directed here. 🙁. Rubbish.

@Roland-of-gilea , @CraigLamb @Menelik variable speeds on devices can have different causes but you can eliminate the connection to the hub by using the service checker in the My Sky app which checks the speed daily if it falls below the guaranteed speed for your connection the app should tell you.

 

After that the issue is normally down to poorcwifi in your home. Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources. 

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.

Thanks for your reply but my Sky glass is right next to the router. I am going to try repositioning the extender upstairs but that wouldn't explain the sky glass buffering.
