Switching from sky

Hello,

I have Fibre broadband from sky and its now nearing the end of my term. I do not wish to renew as the cost is too much at this point. I get billed on the 16th of every month and my contract finished on the 16th August 2023.

Id like to know is, if i switch to another provider now and for the new probider to activate the activated on the 16th of August. Will Sky still bill me for August? (Im probably not making much sense, my apologies)

Just that id like to switch and not have any day(s) without internet as i work from home also wouldn't want to be billed by sky AND pay another provider as it'll take me over £60+.

thanks

@SC-2017

It usually takes 10 days for a migration to a new internet provider by contacting them and asking to migrate the line and phone to that new provider.

Usually, Sky bill you for the period and gives you a refund a month later.

So, you will not be able to migrate until 6th August 2023 at the earliest...
