I have just read through this chat sequence and still a bit confused. I am receiving a new SkyQ box tomorrow as Sky agent tried tried to help me 'repair' my current box. He then said it was not going to work and arranged the new box. He said to remove the card as I was going to need it but didn't specifically tell me the old one was being collected. The DPD email just received says to have the old set ready to swap. I was just trying to establish if I had to pack it all up myself or do they put it in a box at the doorstep?

You need to have the hardware unplugged and ready to go: the courier will bring its replacement in a box, and then use that box to take the faulty one away.

 

If it's a v2 main unit with an external power supply, it will have a circular socket marked in orange on the rear panel: be sure to retrieve the separate power supply unit from the delivery box before the courier leaves.

Thank you, that is very helpful indeed. I can easily do that this morning ready for my delivery/collection later today.  Hopefully, my new box is as easy to get going - if not you may see me on a differnt post later!
