Picture message gone up from 40 pence to 80 pence

Picture messages doubled from 40 pence to 80 pence suddenly this month with no warning from Sky.

The last tariff announced before todays was on 23rd February 2024 but the data plan amounts and the subsequent costs change periodically.

The contract says the current tariff is used for charges - there doesn't appear to be any requirement to notify of changes.

Under 5.4:

Please refer to our tariff guide for a complete list of our current standard charges for our
data plans, optional extras and any usage fees applicable from time to time (for example,
the cost of chargeable calls, texts and data use), as well as details of how your bill will be
calculated.

My emphasis.

Personally, I have disabled MMS on my device.

I'm not sure what warning you want but the latest tariff guide does state the cost is now 80p (page 2):

You might have been sent a Sky Mobile price increae letter or email regarding costs like this were increasing.

Definitely not had a letter or email from Sky about tariff increases. How often should  I look for tariff increases?
