Netomnia FTTH

We've had a letter from Netomnia to let us know that they'll shortly be installing Fibre to the home on our street. Is this the company that Sky use to provide FTTH? I can't imagine that there will be multiple fibre installers on the same street??

No Sky use Openreach. Netomnia are a separate company and provider, Sky cannot use their lines

Actually that's now quite possible, with Openreach and alt-net full fibre providers operating in the same space, but not from the same ducts.

Ok, just confirms fttc is available thru openreach at around 55Mbps. Obviously the decision is yours. Never heard of netomnia so do research if you intend on using them

Also keep in mind that you'd likely need to pay early termination charges to Sky if you are within contract and decide to switch to Netomnia

Re: Netomnia FTTH

Thanks all. I'm in no hurry, just curious really. We currently pay SKY for 40MB and usually achieve mid 30's. Perfectly adequate for us. I'll wait for Openreach and a good SKY deal 🙂
