Single app blocked by network

I've played a game app called Fishdom (by Playrix.com) for 4-5 years. In last month it suddenly will not connect to my Sky Broadband Network at home, yet it connects to 4g and to networks away from my house, and when I use a VPN at home. 
I have checked every setting on Broadband Shield. I've deleted the game and reinstalled. And done the same with the router. Turned everything on and off  multiple times. The block remains. Applies whether trying to connect via iPhone or via iPad. All other apps connect easily and consistently. There must be a way the router is blocking this game but I am damned if I can find out how. 

Help?

@conrik check the setting for Broadband Shield in the My Sky appas that can block online gaming as a catagorybut thst would block other games as well. However one other possible explanation is the server is blocking your IP address for some reason . You can normally force a change of IP address by powering down your hub for an hour
