I'm about to install a mesh WiFi system. Wondering if anyone else has use the Mercusys AX3000 mesh WiFi system. Looks like these use the H80x router/access point. Can one of these be used as a router for a FTTP/ONT or will I need to use the existing SKY SR203 and disable its WiFi?

There is a chance that you can use it as a router directly connected to the ont via dhcpv6 prefix delegation
Select the WAN interface section of router GUI, then select dual-stack option WAN interface for IPv4 & IPv6, for the address select DHCPv6 (dynamic option not static), enable prefix delegation (PD) on WAN and then select SLACC for IPv6 creation method on LAN interface
Otherwise change its operation mode to access point and ethernet to the sky hub and disable wifi on the sky hub

Has a quick go as setting up the H80x as the router but couldn't get it to connect to the ONT. as a quick fix I just set it up as a WAP and turned of WiFi on the sky router. Only downside is you loose some of the settings on the H80x when in this mode.
would really like to get it up and running as a router if I can!

If this doesnt work then its possible that you just cant use IPv6 PD on your line, in which case you'd have to source a router which has the DHCP Option 61 field in its WAN configuration.

So had a chance to properly set it up this afternoon and can confirm it works as a replacement to the Sky router.
