Re: Sky Max Pod Request
I'm in the same position as well....upgraded my package to resolve poor WiFi connectivity in my home but from what I can see there's nothing for the extra payment.

Re: Sky Max Pod Request
A poor signal in certain rooms is something that can cause this so try going through this to see if it helps:
If not and if you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will loan up to 3 pods as you can read about here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max
So you can either call them on 150 from a landline phone or a mobile that has a Sky sim in it or Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.
If someone has helped you then please click on the LIKES button in their post.
If you need help please provide as much information as you can

Re: Sky Max Pod Request
Hi there. I likewise had Sky Max Hub recently installed and was told similar about the pods. Certain parts of my home has poor wifi coverage and I was told about the pods but unsure where to go in terms of requesting a Sky pod. Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Re: Sky Max Pod Request
I had to argue with a guy on the phone that I needed at least two but he said he could only send me one to start with, which still hasn't arrived yet. The Royal Mail tracking said we refused the delivery but they didn't even try to deliver....it has now been returned to sender so I've got to go through the hassle of phoning them all over again.....think I'm just going to cancel the agreement and go back to Virgin.

If you already subscribe to the Sky WiFi Max add-on package the link is below, you need to contact them to get the first pod. The other 1 or 2 pods are delivered by an engineer who will decide the best layout and requirements. Perhaps consider purchasing a 3rd party mesh system (which remains yours regardless of ISP used and would be my own personal choice) however.

Re: Sky Max Pod Request
Thanks, I've already requested one and not received it, plus I shouldn't have to pay for a mesh system when I'm paying for a service that I'm not getting

If you've subscribed to the Sky WiFi Max package then that's exactly what you're doing, paying for it. You're paying for the broadband to the hub, no company guarantees WiFi speeds as there are way too many variables. Buying your own means you'll never have to worry about it again, regardless of ISP used.
Edit: you'll need to contact them again re. the first pod.

Re: Sky Max Pod Request
The issue is the Sky Max hub. If you've still got your old router, see if that works better. We recontracted with Sky and got sent the Sky Max hub. It was diabolical. Videos connected other Ethernet kept buffering. WiFi would randomly stop working.. We plugged our old router back in and it was instantly resolved.

Re: Sky Max Pod Request
Hopeless
I also have max and was told to let it settle then call. I had 4 extra pods with BT before I moved to sky.
I got 1. Now every time I call I get a text to trouble shoot. I try that. I don't get anywhere. I call. I get a text ...... and so on.
sky use to be great customer service now we are stuck in an automated AI loop.

New customer here - told at the point of order my TP Link extenders would be fine (needed as I'm in an old sandstone property with thick walls and high ceilings) but apparently they won't work with the Max router provided. Advised to just order a pod (that apparently I'm entitled to) but no advise other than (online) on how to actually do this. WiFi only works in two rooms.
You're only entitled to up to 3 Sky pods if you pay the monthly add-on fee for a 24 month contract. Since you've already paid circa £45 for one TP-Link extender, it would be cheaper and possible more effective to buy one more and disable the Max wifi entirely.
