My sky+ box showed a fault saying the hard drive had a problem

Sky+ box had a problem so followed the instructions on screen as it said it could not be rectified so rang sky to be told I needed a new box but could not get sky+ now so signed up for sky Q and an extra box upstairs as the eye would no longer work we were told the next available date for fitting was March 15th some 5 weeks from the phone call ! I was unable to record or pause or rewind or get catch up or anything apart from watching live tv so paying £99 per mont to just watch tv ! I rang and said couldn't have a refund of my package as I couldn't do anything except watch live ! I was told once the installation on 15th was complete there would be an automatic adjustment to the bill to show the refund ! March 15th and sky Q was installed the bill on my account was adjusted but did not show any refund and the forthcoming bill was more than expected and the extra box I was told was £8 a month was actually £10 a month ! I called sky again and was told that there would NOT be a refund for the weeks without access to the paid services as I could still watch tv 🤷‍♀️ this is so disappointing and a rip off having non of the services you expect with sky and pay fortunes for o have been a sky customer for over 30 years from when sky first started !

I would suspect that's because Sky+ boxes are unsupported.  If you had a Q failure then a credit would have been forthcoming.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

@Me2024 Pity. You could have bought your own used replacement Sky+HD box from ebay etc. for around £30 without needing to wait for a Sky Q upgrade.
