My remote control volume has stopped working since software update!

I have updated my Sky Q box software and this seems to have knocked the volume control only out! Despite numerous attempts to rest and paid- this remind a problem.

I've heard that the latest software update is the issue and that Sky are working in this! 
Is anyone else experiencing this or have any information about it?

Hi @SCG+2 , worth trying the following :

Hold down 7 and 9 until the remote's light flashes 4 times to factory reset your
remote.

To pair your remote with your Sky Q box:
1. Press Home on your Sky Q remote
2. Select Settings, then Setup followed by Remote Control
3. Select the remote you're using
4. Select Control your TV then Find it for me
5. Select the brand of your TV
6. Press and hold 1 and 3 together for 2 seconds, and enter the code that appears on your screen

Press the volume buttons on your Sky Q remote and see if this changes the volume on your TV.
No luck? Select No, try another until you find the right setting.

these are the steps I have already tried numerous times and it's not working sadly.

this is where I've read that the recent software update has knocked out his function with some TV makes.

Wondered if anyone else was experiencing this?

I've got the same issue since the last sky q software update. I've tried repairing my remote with so many different samsung codes but it wont work.

I've got the same issue with my LG TV. Tried all the reset options, just won't connect. Had no problems until about a week ago

Mine been exactly the same, tried all the steps suggested below and nothing works

Same thing has happened to us except we also can't change the input (HDMI 1, HDMI2).

So interested to hear of any fixes that are announced!

Was there a fix for this? My sky remote has suddenly stopped working for volume. Tried all the above steps multiple times.

Instructions don't match menus ....I appreciate these change.  My sound has suddenly stopped working via remote on SkyQ box.  Even when model number is typed in says your model isn't  supported.  Well ot was 5 days ago so what has changed?

Ok I recently recieved the new sky q box with the voice control button on it. I've spent about 2 hours trying everything to get the volume button and standby button working including everything people have advised 

What I'm about to explain worked for me FINALY ! 

1) Take power cable out of sky box leave for 30 secs 

2) plug back in wait for it to do its thing reset. Let the menu and programmes appear as if all normal (important)

3) press menu button then gold down 1 & 3 for 3 secs until the red light flashes. 

After that the tv make search menu should finally appear. Before doing this I must have pressed 1-3 500 timed and it didn't work! My volume and standby all now functional from sky remote.

Thank you so much. I tried this and it works now. I've been pressing 1 and 3 so many times. 

When i tried this immediately it let me through and fixed the problem.
