Hi All
This is a shot in the dark but hopefully someone can help.
I have a Apple HomePod Mini which I used to control my Meross smart sockets (Apple Home Version).
Since I have changed to Sky I cannot use this function. I have no issues connecting the HomePod to the network/internet and it functions with no issues making request (via Siri) to any external resource and also I can use the HomePod as an exteral speaker for any device on my network. Using my iPhone/iPad and Siri I can control the smart sockets with no issues only the HomePod has the problem.
Any help would be appreciated, I have Apple Engineering looking into the issue but so far no solution?
To reiterate it worked fine with BT Broadband/Router but no longer works with Sky Broadband/Router (SR203). Also the SmartPlugs do show on the connected devices to the hub.
Regards
Malcolm

I am sorry I didn'tpost a solution to this as it is now resolved.
I had a long running conversation with Apple Support and the Apple Engineering Team and we had to lodge it as a known problem.
Subsequently though when I updated the HomePodMini to the latest Firmware (15.4) the issue was resolved. I have subsequently updated to 15.4.1 (Latest) and still functions.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHave you carried out a full reset and reinstallation of the devices after the Hub swap? A Sky Hub will have a different default IP address (192.168.0.1) to a BT Hub (192.168.1.254), and that may be confusing things, particularly if devices are using a narrow subnet mask.

Thanks @TimmyBGood
Yes a complete rebuild of everything has occurred. The device control via Siri on iPhone/iPad/MacMini/AppleTV all work fine but the HomePod, which can only use Siri doesn't work.
Very odd, and like I said worked previously with BT SmartHub.

I had the same issue when I bought my HomePod mini so there's definitely something in the problem. I asked for help on this Forum and there was a long exchange under the title of " HomePod setup issue". I also posted on Apple's forum. I never resolved my problem and while I was given another recommendation to try I was struck down with an illness a year ago ( many hospital visits) so it was not at the top of my priorities. The last response was April 2021 but it seems to have been archived and can no longer be found in a search. The email links I have to the posts go to a page which says' access denied, sorry you don't have access to this page'. Unfortunately I therefore can't actually help you. I'd like to be able to re-read the recommendation made to my again and follow it up again. I'll keep an eye on this thread in case you get a solution

Thanks for the update and I'm glad your problems are sorted. I've updated my HomePod firmware to the latest ( would only do so via my phones mobile data, just like when Apple support did so originally). Unfortunately, as with before It will play music when my phone is nearby but little else. Connection over WiFi seems to fail and my security accessory and smart socket are not available. Shame my old post is no longer available as the guidance then gave me another lead but I recall that it was quite technical in router settings.
