paying for unactivated sim

Hi, i bought a sim this week as part of a deal however i dont want to use this now and i want to either cancel the deal or just not use the sim if it will not charge me if it stays unactivated, can anyone tell me if i will get charged if i dont use the sim?

If you don't activate the sim then you'll not be charged.
