it seems it's happening to a lot of people at the moment including me. I rang sky and it put me to an automated voice saying there's a problem with sky glass so I guess its something to do with that.

Sky are aware of this issue:
"We are aware of an issue where customers may be presented with a coloured screen on their Sky Glass/Puck/Stream device. We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. Please try putting the TV into standby for 2 minutes before switching back on. If this does not clear the issue, please restart the TV."

I have same problem today - can get a channel on but not able to change channel - as soon as touch home button screen goes blank

My puck was replaced late December. This one is no playing up. It is locking up and won't do anything. I've held the power button and powered up three times now. Now I only have the thin coloured bar on the screen. When this does eventually go it locks after a few simple operations like exiting the settings menu. It's constant now and doesn't seem to be responding. I can't do much with it at all. Any ideas?

This is also happening to us we have three pucks all doing the same hopefully they fix this soon

Happening to us too. Monday the TV needed a power cycle and is on os 1,1 (don't know whether it already was) today one of the pucks is stuck on the horizontal bar.

My pick was delivered this afternoon. Plugged it in and it worked fine for about 5 mins, and now I've got the same coloured line as everyone else is talking about. Looks like it's trying to connect to something but failing. Sky back-end servers down?
