BBC iPlayer black screen but sound ok

BBC iPlayer through my Sky Stream doesn't work properly. When I first go in to it the screen is never completely full -  most areas are black but some parts have words. If I can see a programme to select then I can select it but the screen is black and I can hear the sound well. I use iPlayer on other devices fine so it is not my profile.

Probably worth making sure that the app is fully closed when you leave it rather than just going back to the SkyOS home screen. Also try re-installing the app from the puck's settings menu to see if that makes any difference.

How do you make sure an app is fully closed? And I can't see anything about apps in settings on sky stream?

On iPlayer, keep pressing the back button on the remote until it says 'You are about to exit iPlayer - are you sure you want to do this?'

Click yes and the app will properly close rather than remain open in the back ground on Sky's servers. 

Sky Glass or Stream:

1. Press Home on your Sky remote, then highlight Settings.
2. Press System management, then Resets and updates, and finally Refresh apps.
3. You'll see a message that says, 'Your apps are being refreshed'.
4. Press Dismiss to return to normal viewing.

Thanks for those clear updates. I did both ( close and then refreshed all apps). Unfortunately I still have the same problem. In this photo - you'll see two large black squares. I selected ( eg south today) and it went to the programme but no pictures just sound 😢
