Hello.
we recently moved to sky and not thrilled with the wifi at the moment
we managed to connect all our devices no problem with the exception of our Samsung tv in the bedroom. The Samsung downstairs isn't a problem.
we have tried a full factory reset in the tv, numerous resets of the router, entering the ip settings manually. Nothing is working. It just won't accept the Wi-Fi password. It does connect with the WPS button being pressed but that's quite annoying having to go downstairs every time we want to use the to upstairs, it also isn't as reliable as it loses connection, and it loses connection every time the to is switched off. So this is a daily thing. Please can someone help. It's driving me mad. We cannot utilise the to without WIfi.
assistance greatly appreciated.
the to is around 2 years old.

Assuming you have done that then the issue is range. Whatever Sky and other isps like to pretend a single freebie router is often not enough to provide coverage in every room in many homes especially for streaming or gaming.
Sky will sell you upgrade packages like Broadband Boost or their latest Wifi Max which can include extenders if they are required. However those are not youur only choices and if you want to stream video you need a good quality wifi signal both fast enough and stable enough to avoid buffering etc. There are numerous third party solutions from completly replacing the Sky hub with a new router and a whole home wifi mesh system through adding a third party wifi mesh system behind tge Sky hub with its wifi switched off orcalterntaively using a powerline networking kit which uses your home's mains wiring to get the signal to your bedroom and the TV.
Losds of options and price points somdomsomecresearch to find the best for you.

Hi. I don't think the issue is range. When we press the WPS button on the router it connects and streams fine. The issue is, we are having to do that every time we want to use our tv. Surely there's something we can do to not have to press that button every time we want to use wifi on our tv. All other devices in the house are absolutely fine. I just don't understand it?

@Lindenhill496 - did you work this out as we've also just switched to Sky and have this same issue with the TV in our kitchen (which is in the room next door to the router so struggling to believe a range issue when the TV s and devices we use upstairs are fine?)?

Our TV is also a Samsung.
