Internet drops 2:30am

Every SINGLE night/morning the internet drops at 2:30 in the morning. I literally game one night a week on a Saturday and AGAIN I have now been disconnected from 3 FUT Champs games because soon as the clock hits 0230 the whole broadband resets and doesn't come back to normal for another 20/30 minutes. Why is this? Had enough of it

@Bluenight9 I assume you are buying a Superfast service delivered over copper if so there are a couple of likely causes neither of which you or Sky can do anything about.

The first is the cabinet that feeds your line is resetting the parameters on your line as the Digital Line Management software has intervened. That shouldn't happen every night but does happen around 2.30am and cannot be disabled not thst anybody should want that done as the system is there for a reason .  If you post your lines stats with an extract from the hub's log file for thst time it maybe possible to see if there is an unresolved line or cabinet fault see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

Second is some ongoing line maintainence or upgrade work. That is less likely if it has been happening for several weeks and tge line comes back within a few minutes but still possible upgrades are being made to improve throughput etc and happen in the early hours.

There is a third possibility but I assume you have already checked nobody has set a parental control with a timer.

Sky canot guarantee a 100% uninterrupted service so unfortunately you may have to live with it.

Do you have Sky Q? At around 2:30am the Q box either reboots or powers down if in eco mode. No idea why this causes the internet to dropbut my Samknows whitebox shows disconnections every day at around 2:30am when my Q box reboots.

I know historically everything wifi connected will connect through the Q box intsead of the router but I thought this had changed.

@Bluenight9

Try changing it to none on Sky Q. It does sound like its Sky Q causing your issue. Is your gaming device connected via WiFi or ethernet?

if the issue still occurs please post your router stats
