I'm due to have my broadband installed tomorrow. My property was set up ready to receive virgin broadband, so I assumed that switching to sky would be simple.
I just wanted to know wether I need to be home for the time slot as this wasn't the case with my last installation, I was just given the router and was told to switch it on once my connection had been complete.
I only ask as myself and my partner are rarely home during the time slot given
thanks for any help!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Lee4487 Sky cannot use the cabling installed by Virgin instead they use the Openreach phone system over copper or fibre depending on what is available in your road. If you have been given an appointment slot the engineers expect to need access to your home. If a remote activation is planned you are simply given a go live date.
