Hi, So yesterday I rung Sky to see if there was anything they could do regarding my bills as I was out of contract and thinking of cancelling if not as bill each month was due to be £87.50....
Advisor had a look and initially said if I renew she could discount it to £77 a month I said no not worth it, she went away again then said it would be £67.50 a month which I was happy with. After 10 mins trying to put this through she then said she can't honour this and it's still £77 I said no and il think about what to do as I wanted to let my wife know I'm going to cancel sky advisor seemed annoyed but said OK.
An hour later I got a email saying my bills are now £77 and my contract is a further 18 months! I'm fuming I rung back got someone else after explaining and speaking to a manager they said they would honour the £67.50 I said fine 4 hours later bills still say 77 quid. Rung back again different advisor same thing checked this morning still £77 and I'm raging at this point I've been a customer for 18 years the thing that has really made me angry is someone just signing me up for 18 months without my authorisation.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI believe if a deal is agreed that can't be applied by a front line adviser on the system they use, manual behind the scenes intervention is required to get it loaded. That can take a few days. My neighbour had a similar experience.

I agreed a renewal price for Sky TV + HD which required authentication from higher up for the HD price reduction but it was never given. I called to query this when the bills didn't show the price agreed, support said no price was agreed for HD so I cancelled HD. In the end Sky agreed to reinstate HD at the agreed price.

Hi yea I had that yesterday, I tung they told me it was never agreed and as I was in a contract nothing they could do, as they had signed me up to the contract I was pretty angry. I used the chat service who logged my complaint and reduced my bills even more so I'm happy now. Though the call centre staff in India were useless
