Re: Loss of Eurosport channels

I have paid for additional Eurosport Channels on my existing Subsciption. I watch the BSB series of which I am a Volunteer Marshal at these events. Now that my new subscription does not cover these events, where is the discount?

@Beachbum2

Eurosport was part of the base Signature package and not part of a Sky sports add-on.

You didn't pay extra as the eurosport channels via Sky were not available as extra pay channels as they have been part of the basic TV package for many years.

These channels have stopped broadcasting in the UK & ROI they no longer exist so cannot be reinstated

This was a choice by the owners of the channels and nothing to do with Sky

@Skyme4

Eurosport ended in the UK / ROI last week. This decision was taken by its owner Warner Bros Discovery. It was discussed at great length in this thread

@Jones12

Your consent is not needed as it is within the terms and conditions that channels can come and go as it is Warner Brothers who removed the channels from all in the UK as you will not find them anywhere now from Sky to Virgin.

Re: Loss of Eurosport channels

The loss of Eurosport is the final straw.

The Sky puck is rubbish, they want more money for fewer channels.

Goodbye Sky.

Losing channels and charging more

Is it just me or is the loss of Eurosport leaving a big hole in the value of subscribing to Sky and to compound that, they now want to charge me more! Getting very close to the bye bye pivot point.

Only you can decide whether it's value to you.

FWIW Eurosport was a 'free' channel that the owners decided to monitise and it wasn't Sky's decision.

As per every other broadcaster prices increase every year.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Re: Loss of Eurosport channels

Yeah, I pay £79 p/m for SS, and part of that was Discovery+, giving me access to World Tour cycling. Now to watch it I have to upgrade to TNT Sports for £31 a month. Since i am only at home infrequently, there is no point in having TNT and by extension SS. I'll go back to Freesat.
