Hello, I have an issue where sometimes some text messages sent by others to me get delayed several hours and they sometimes arrive AFTER more recent texts sent by the same person. ie. there is a delay and a text arrives in the wrong order. Person sends text 1. I do not receive it, person sends text 2. I receive it then some time after I receive text 1.
I had someone text me in the morning around 10am asking me where I was and the following evening at 7pm I received the text. Knowing that I had met up with that person later the previous day and sorted things out, next time I met up with them I got them to show me when they texted me and that's how I know it was 10am the previous day. I think that was a 33 hour delay from them sending to me receiving?
I sometimes have my phone in airplane mode when working but I would have thought that any texts flying around would arrive quite quickly when the phone is taken out of airplane mode? That's what used to happen in the past.
Can anyone help with this as last night I received a text from a prospective new job's Manager after 8PM wanting to talk and I thought they had just sent it and said I was available to speak when in actual fact he had sent the text hours ago in office hours. I then looked a but silly and ignorant for contacting him so late at night. Can anyone help resolve this as it had cause me embarrrassment and misunderstandings several times? Thanks.
